Mission Statement

The mission of the Community Engagement Core is to amplify the voices of community members in CHOIR research, with the goal of advancing science, increasing inclusion, and strengthening community wellness. 

Broadly, we aim to: 

• Build and nurture long-term, trusting, and mutual relationships with community partners. 

• Prioritize community needs in the development, conduct, and dissemination of CHOIR research.

• Ensure CHOIR research is aligned with a broader mission to eliminate health disparities and achieve health justice.
