Julie Brewer, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Projects: Resilient Youth with Neurofibromatosis | RecoVR | iHOPE | GetActive | Toolkit for Optimal Recovery After Orthopedic Injury

  • Julie is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated summa cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross honors program with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. Julie’s research interests include physical activity, addiction, and increasing accessibility to treatments through public policy and web-based interventions. At CHOIR, she is the lead coordinator for the Thrive with Chronic Pain study and the Virtual Reality After Orthopedic Injury (RecoVR) study. She is the co-lead coordinator on iHOPE and assists on the Toolkit for Optimal Recovery After Orthopedic Injury study and the Resilient Youth with NF study. In the future, Julie hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, hiking, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends.


Rachel Chen, BS

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Rachel is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated cum laude from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in neuroscience and minors in clinical psychology and creative writing. Her research interests center on the role of interpersonal connections in fostering resiliency, particularly in the context of chronic stress or illness. She is also interested in interventions that address health disparities and improve access to mental health care for historically marginalized populations. At CHOIR, Rachel assists on the Active Brains study. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, running, and taking care of an abundance of plants.


Nomin Enkhtsetseg, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Nomin is a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated cum laude from Wheaton College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Neuroscience and Psychology. Nomin’s research interests include health disparities in medicine and research, destigmatizing mental health across various cultures, the neuroscience of non-substance addictions, and working with underrepresented populations in research. Being a third culture kid, she’s always been interested in how cultural and social dimensions shape our mind and behavior and has found a recent passion in pursuing culturally adapted intervention methods. At CHOIR, she is the research coordinator in RT-CA, QUIET FOCUS, Culturally Adaptive “Active Brains”, and the HIPS study. Outside of research, Nomin enjoys traveling, cooking and making recipes, exploring new locations, making art, and spending time with loved ones.


Fatima Fontes, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Fatima recently graduated from Boston University with a B.A in Psychology. While at BU, she conducted a research study that focused on the effects of attachment style and neuroticism on anxiety among college students. Additionally, Fatima completed an internship abroad as a Research Assistant for the notable King’s College London: Department of Women’s and Children’s Health. Her research interests are mindful-based interventions, increasing mental health access and support to minority communities within Boston, and exploring the impact of neurocognitive diseases and dementia within minority populations. In the future, Fatima hope to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, and in her free time, she enjoys strength training, reading non-fiction books, and spending time with family and friends.


Dany Lacamera, BA

  • Dany is a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology with a clinical concentration and a minor in Education. Dany’s research interests include mindfulness-based interventions, use of technology for psychosocial support, and increasing accessibility to mental health services in community settings. At CHOIR, she assists with the GetActive and IHOPE study. In her free time, Dany enjoys exercising, reading, walking her dog, and spending time with friends and family.


Makenna Law, Bs

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Makenna is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biopsychology and Science, Technology, and Society studies (STS). Her previous research has focused on shared decision making for older adults with chronic kidney disease. Makenna’s research interests broadly lie at the intersections of ethics, health policy, gerontology, and neuroscience. At CHOIR, Makenna assists on the My Healthy Brain study. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, crocheting, wandering around the greater Boston area, and spending time with loved ones.


Nadine S. Levey, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Projects: iHOPE | TOR-C | TIRELESS | Recovering Together

  • Nadine is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor's of Arts (BA) in Psychology. While at Williams, Nadine competed in four years of division I alpine ski racing and was the captain of her team for the 2021-22 season. As an athlete, Nadine has historically competed at a very high level, achieving a top 5 ranking nationally for her age group. Her academic interests include the burgeoning research dedicated to mindfulness, the role of socially constructed sexual scripts in instances of assault, the relationship between individual suggestibility and the reliability of memory, and the development of racial bias throughout infancy and childhood. At CHOIR, Nadine is the lead coordinator for TOR-C and TIRELESS. She also assists on the iHope study and Recovering Together. In the future, she is keenly interested in pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology. On her own time, Nadine enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking and enjoying all that the Green Mountains have to offer.


Margaret Moreland, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

Projects: Chronic Post Surgical Pain Exploration

  • Margaret is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated from Dartmouth College in June of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Minor in French Literature. At Dartmouth, she competed 4 years on the Division I Women’s Rowing team, and worked in the Behavioral Health Lab at Geisel Medical School. She started in June of 2023 as a research assistant in the Biobehavioral Pain Lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and transitioned to MGH’s Choir center with the move of the lab. She is the lead coordinator for two projects exploring the Biopsychosocial and Psychosocial Factors Contributing to Chronic Post-Surgical Pain led by Dr. Christine Sieberg. In her own time, she enjoys hiking, running on the Charles, and doing yoga.


Marie(Mary) Nzeyimana, BA

  • Marie (Mary) is a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in Biochemistry and a minor in Sociology. Marie was selected for the prestigious Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, where she traveled internationally exploring her project titled, “The Role of Women: Community, Womanhood, and Caretaking”, after graduating from Bowdoin. Marie is passionate about women’s health, healthcare accessibility, and healthcare advocacy, specifically within the continent of Africa and its diasporic communities. A fun fact about Marie is that she speaks 4 languages fluently. Outside of work, Marie enjoys reading, crocheting, watching David Attenborough nature documentaries, and spending time with her loved ones.


Elizabeth Rochon, Ba

  • Elizabeth is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology and minors in criminal justice and history. Elizabeth’s research interests include social determinants of health, trauma, and resiliency in the context of acute stressors and interpersonal connections. At CHOIR, Elizabeth is the lead research coordinator on COMA-F and TEND. She also assists with Recovering Together and Active Brains. Ultimately, Elizabeth hopes to further develop her interests and pursue a doctorate degree in clinical psychology. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys trying new foods, road tripping, and spending time with friends.


Morgan Seward, BA

  • Morgan is a Clinical Research Coordinator at CHOIR. Before joining the CHOIR team, Morgan graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in psychology. At JHU, she was a member of the varsity field hockey team and Army ROTC. Her research interests include mindfulness-based interventions, as well as the impact of trauma and social determinants of health on mental health and well-being. At CHOIR, Morgan assists with STRIDE. In the future, Morgan hopes to pursue a doctoral degree in clinical psychology. In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, exploring nature, and spending time with friends and family.


Claire Szapary, MPh

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Claire is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated from the Yale School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Social and Behavioral Sciences and received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Brown University in Public Health with honors and Psychology. Claire’s research interests primarily focus on investigating and addressing the multifaceted impact of close social relationships on health and wellbeing across the lifespan. Her Master’s thesis employed a mixed-methods approach to explore the relationship goals between persons living with dementia and their spousal care partners and to identify their association with wellbeing. At CHOIR, Claire is a coordinator for Recovering Together, a dyadic mind-body intervention that aims to prevent chronic emotional distress in patients with an acute brain injury and their family caregivers. She also assists on the GetActive and Resilient Youth with Neurofibromatosis studies. In her free time, Claire enjoys hiking, exploring new cities and the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.


ClaRa Vonderheide, BA

  • Clara is a clinical research coordinator at CHOIR. She graduated from Amherst College with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry and a Five College Program certificate in Culture, Health, and Science. At Amherst College, Clara conducted research examining the impact of emotion beliefs on the mental health of college students and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). Clara’s research interests include increasing access to mental health care for Latinx and historically marginalized individuals. At CHOIR, Clara assists with the iHOPE study. In her free time, Clara enjoys baking, photography, and finding good food around the Boston area.


Emily Woodworth, BA

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator

  • Emily is a clinical research coordinator at the Center for Health Outcomes and Interdiscinplinary Research (CHOIR). Before joining the CHOIR team, Emily attended the University of Virginia where she majored in psychology, minored in health and wellbeing, and played on the women's varsity squash team for all four years. Emily’s research interests include postpartum wellbeing, body image, and disordered eating. At CHOIR, Emily is the lead research coordinator for Recovering Together and STRIDE. She also assists on Active Brains, Get Active, and COMA-F. Ultimately, Emily hopes to attend a doctoral program in clinical psychology. Outside of work, Emily enjoys exercising, spending time with friends, and cooking.
