Additional Opportunities

Research Seminar

All CHOIR members attend a weekly research seminar which includes external speakers (experts across diverse fields), internal workshops/speakers, and journal club. The goal of these seminars is to learn from leaders and emerging experts in areas relevant to our work and broaden our network of collaborators. This seminar is led by Drs. Julia Hooker and Kate McDermott.

Pain Working Group

We offer an optional working group for CHOIR members interested in pain research (led by Drs. Francis O’Keefe and Ana-Maria Vranceanu). This interactive virtual meeting offers trainees of all levels opportunities to discuss timely topics with experts in the field.

Graduate school workshops

Our senior clinical research coordinators (CRCs) lead a weekly workshop series in the Spring to support junior CRCs in applying to graduate school.  This workshop is an opportunity to learn about different career paths and determine what they need to do to be competitive for graduate school. Senior CRCs consult Dr. Victoria Grunberg as needed.
